CONCEPT PAPER: SHORTAGE OF WATER:

OVERVIEW:
In my area,there have been alots of problem among which one is in regard of drinking water.There is shortage of drinking water and this is one of the major problem we are facing in my locality.This problem is affecting a great problem in the physical and social development of the society.
CAUSE OF WATER CRISIS:
The main reason for water crisis is over populaton.Before the population in my locality was less as a result the availabe water resource could fulfill everyone's needs of drinking water but now people are increasing geometrically while the availablity of water is the same.As a result it is difficult for everyone to get accesibility of fresh drinking water.Another reason is unmanaged urbanization and no concept of rainwater harvesting and water pollution.
EFFECTS OF WATER CRISIS:
1. Spreading of various diseases mainly communicable disease like cholera diarrhea and so on due to inaccesibility of fresh and pure drinking water.
2. Problem in the proper growth of crops and vegetables.
3. Problem regarding social development of the society.
4. extinction of various flora and fauna.
5. Disturbance in the growth of ecosystem.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
To obstackle the problem of water crisis there was conduction of project of one house one tap.There have been various meetings regarding this topic and the solution drawn from the meeting was to build a large water reservoir in my locality which would supply water to various household for an hour for thrice in every week.Also the concept of rainwater harvesting was discussed and is to be done to fulfilled the needs of people regarding the problem of cultivation and other uses like washing and so on.Also the campaign regarding the cleanliness of rivers near my locality is to be carried which will be very much beneficial in irrigation of agricultural land.
GOALS:
1. Campaign regarding one house one tap must be started.
2. Construction of water reservior for storing water.
3. Managing certain amount of water for irrigation.
4. Rainwater harvesting.
BUDGET ESTIMATION:
The estimated budget reagarding this project will be around one and half crores in which one crores is to be managed by collecting money from each household and the reamaining is to be funded by govt. and various health organization.Also for the cleanliness campaign various materials and resources will be provided by the municipality.
CONCLUSION:
After the completion of this project the problem of water crisis will be minimized to greater extend.
